After a lifetime designing and making furniture and teaching many apprentices and students, Ben Dawson now offers tuition in small studio workshops in Scotland and Italy to individuals and small groups. Ben specialises in teaching absolute beginners and intermediate level students to professional standards. Whilst there are some core modules for fundamental skills and techniques, all tuition is tailored to the individual student following a discussion about current skill levels and aspirations. Ben also lead tours to key UK, European and Scandinavian factories, workshops, studios and exhibitions.
Currently this website shows mainly legacy work from the Ben Dawson workshops which were established in 1983 and worked internationally, mainly working with architects and interior designers on a wide range of projects.
